The Challenge: DAY 21 – Guard the Gates! #1
Stop it at the DOOR!
Welcome to DAY 21 of the 40-Day Mission-Minded FAMILY CHALLENGE!
Our focus is the necessity of “Guarding the Gates” of our homes – to guard what comes in through various entry points, such as the EYE gate, EAR gate, MOUTH gate (thoughts and words), and other influences. Looking at Numbers 30, today focuses on stopping evil influences “on the day” they enter our home.
C’mon . . . Take the Challenge!

Awesome, Christy!
At our home, we haven’t had network TV for about 15 years – with no regrets. We still watch great family DVD’s and get our news from the internet.
This is great encouragment. Sometimes parenting becomes exhausting and it is a long race. Whenever I purpose to nip things in the bud immediately, with lined out consequences, I find that within a day & a half there is a significant improvement around the house. I am wrestling with the TV’s purpose in our lives, it is my enemy to time management at times but also an entertainment we enjoy in the evenings particularly. I think during this week I will take a TV fast so to speak, just to fully experience guarding my own gates. I’ve been finding time with the Lord in the evenings anyway so this will just open up more time (not to mention how behind I’ve gotten on housework!).
