The Challenge: DAY 7 – God’s Commands #2
His LAW
Welcome to DAY 7 of the 40-Day Mission-Minded FAMILY CHALLENGE!
Today your family will learn the HAND COMMANDS (finger motions) for the Ten Commandments, specifically today #3 and #4. We’ll also discuss how to keep God’s Word and His Law in our hearts.

A few questions for feedback:
Discuss Commandment #3 – As a family, do you honor the Lord’s name and even guard how you say the name of “God”? In our home, we train our kids to always conclude their prayers with a strong “In the Name of Jesus, Amen.” Far too often, Christians “water-down” prayers, especially in public settings, in an attempt to not be offensive; instead, we need to be unashamed of the Lord Jesus Christ and BOLD in our witness. If we’re given an opportunity to pray, at family gathering or a city meeting, our prayers should glorify the Lord without shame. Also, if you ever hear a person swear, by taking the Lord’s name in vain, it’s a great time to witness and to let that person know how much you love Jesus and His wonderful Name!
Regarding Commandment #4, how does your family remember the Sabbath Day and keep it holy? Does your family have a specific day of “spiritual rest” from your regular work, to focus on the Lord?

Ann thank you so much for doing this challenge. I’m doing it with my 12 year old granddaughter and it is going great!. At first I could see that she was reluctant…(aww do we really have to do this…add more to my reading and studies?). However, after a few days she has softend, is more enguaged and we have made a list of lost friends and loved ones to pray for…..We put it up on our board above the computer along with the pictures of the kids from Guma Na Yesu so we can pray for all of them each time we sit down for the challenge. We are also going through our bibles and highlighting all the scriptures you ref. each day…she has been wanting to do this…This is just what she needed! :o)
Blessings!
Barb,
Sometimes, it helps to put the video on pause, and let the whole video load before you watch it. I’ve seen some of those expressive faces (oh my!!!). So glad to hear that you can still fly your plane. I’m not sure how many of the recent newsletters we still have on the computer, but I’ll see what I can do.
Love you!
Ann
Hi Ann,
Thank you for sending me a newsletter with larger font. Yes, I am still able to fly my airplane. The print on the instruments is larger than size 8. The computer internet where we are in Arizona till April is quite slow. It takes a while to load the videos. Every time it stops, I get to see you in quite an expression. It is fun. I am so glad for all your books, radio spots and news. I am very proud of you, Ann.
