What Do We Believe?
Harvest Ministry is an international Christian missions outreach. We love our Lord Jesus Christ; we believe and follow the Bible; we work in unity with many Christian churches; and we focus on God’s Great Commission.
We believe . . .
In the BIBLE: The Holy Bible (the sixty-six books of the Old Testament and New Testament, from Genesis to Revelation) is the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative written Word of God (Heb. 4:12, II Tim. 3:16-17).
In the TRINITY: There is only ONE GOD, eternally existent in three distinct Persons: the FATHER, the SON (Jesus Christ), and the HOLY SPIRIT. (II Cor. 13:14, Gen. 1:26, John 14:26, Matt. 28:19).
In GOD’S HOLINESS and SOVEREIGNTY (Duet. 32:4, Isaiah 5:16, 46:9-11, I Peter 1:15) and His CREATION of the heavens and the earth (Gen. 1:1, Acts 14:15, Heb. 11:3). ALL HAVE SINNED against God’s RIGHTEOUSNESS (Rom. 3:12, 5:12, 5:21), and SIN separates people from God (Isaiah 59:2).
In our LORD JESUS CHRIST, in His deity and humanity (John 1:1, Col. 1:15-17, Col. 2:9), His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matt. 1:18,25), His sinless life (I Cor. 5:21, I Peter 2:22), His atoning death on the cross (I Peter 1:18-19), His bodily resurrection (Luke 24:39, Rom. 1:4), and His ascension into heaven (Acts 1:9-11, Mark 16:19).
In GOD’S SALVATION, by His GRACE, and through personal FAITH in the Lord Jesus Christ (Eph. 2:8-9). The only way to be made righteous before God is through repentance from sin and faith in the redemptive work of Christ, through the shedding of His precious blood on the CROSS (John 3:3, 3:16, Rom. 10:9-10, I Peter 1:18-19).
In THE HOLY SPIRIT, who indwells all believers at salvation (1 Cor. 12:3) — enabling us by His fruit to live with purity and HOLINESS before God (Gal. 5:22), and empowering us by His gifts to be effective witnesses for Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8, I Cor. 12:7-10).
In ETERNAL LIFE after death of both the saved and the lost — one to everlasting life, and the other to eternal damnation. We believe in the holy judgment of God, and in the reality of heaven and hell (Matt. 10:28, Heb. 9:27, Phil. 3:20), eagerly awaiting the SECOND COMING of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the rapture of the Church (Acts 1:11, Luke 12:40, 21:27).
In God’s GREATEST COMMANDMENT (Matthew 22:37-39) and God’s GREAT COMMISSION (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19), for the SUPREME TASK of the Church is the evangelization of the lost (Rom. 10:13-14).
