Who we are: Jon and Ann and the Dunagan family
JON DUNAGAN is an international missionary evangelist, laser-focused on serving the Lord Jesus Christ and winning souls for God’s kingdom. In 1987, Jon and Ann founded HARVEST MINISTRY as an international missions outreach emphasizing remote city-wide evangelism, church planting, national evangelism team support (NETS), supporting orphans, and motivating Christians for world missions.
Jon has personally shared the Good News of Jesus Christ — through witnessing one-on-one and preaching to large crowds of over 50,000 people — in over 60 different nations, on all 7 continents of the globe, including Antarctica. Collectively as a family, and as a mission outreach, both the Dunagans and Harvest Ministry have reached over 70 nations!
Searching for “treasures of darkness and hidden riches [interpreted as ‘lost souls’] in secret places” (from Isaiah 45:3), Jon Dunagan has boldly proclaimed the Gospel on Russian polar expedition ships, in Rwandan prisons, and in many war-torn areas and remote villages.
Jon studied the Bible and Christian Ministry at Victory Bible Institute in Tulsa (graduating in 1987), and also received his college education at Western Washington University and Oral Roberts University. He is the father of 7 children (all homeschooled, K-12). Along with missions and international evangelism, Jon enjoys prayer walks, tropical snorkeling, African wildlife safaris, growing roses, and fishing.
In 1986, the Dunagans founded Harvest Ministry, emphasizing remote city-wide evangelism, church planting, National Evangelism Team Support (NETS), supporting orphans, and motivating Christians for world missions. Ann has personally ministered in over 30 nations: speaking to women, preaching in villages, training children and youth, and encouraging parents and teachers. She enjoys fervent worship, time with family and friends, and writing.
Ann has published numerous articles, primarily about missions and family life – on Crosswalk.com, CBN.com, FaithTelegraph.com, Missions-Maker Magazine, and A Cup of Comfort Devotional for Mothers. She is a regular writer for The Christian Post’s “Better Parenting – Better Families” blog, and has been featured on hundreds of radio programs, including Prime Time America, USA Network News, and FamilyLife Today. Her books include: Teaching With God’s Heart for the World, Volume I & II (a year-long missions curriculum for homeschool families and Christian schools), The Mission-Minded Child – Releasing Your Family to God’s Destiny, Hand Commands – The Ten Commandments for Little Ones (Kregel Publications, 2006), and The Mission-Minded Family – Releasing Your Family to God’s Destiny.
The Dunagan family and HARVEST MINISTRY have their home-base near Hood River, Oregon.
